Located in Yamanashi Prefecture, the Narusawa Ice Cave is a famous attraction situated near the eastern entrance to the Aokigahara 'Sea of Trees' forest at the base of Mt. Fuji.
This natural ice cave, formed during an eruption in 864 AD, is designated as a Natural Monument by the Japanese government.
Created by lava flows from Mt. Fuji's flank volcano, Nagaoyama, the cave stretches approximately 153 meters long.
With an average internal temperature hovering around 0°C (32°F) all year, visitors can marvel at natural ice formations like pillars and walls regardless of the season.

Located in Yamanashi Prefecture within the Aokigahara 'Sea of Trees' forest at the northern base of Mt. Fuji, the Fugaku Wind Cave is a lava tube stretching approximately 201 meters.
Similar to the nearby Narusawa Ice Cave, it's a natural marvel created by volcanic activity from Mt. Fuji and is also designated as a Natural Monument by the Japanese government.
The cave maintains a stable average temperature of around 3°C (37°F) throughout the year, offering a refreshingly cool environment even in the heat of summer.
