Most facilities on the mountain are cash-only. We recommend bringing around 5,000 JPY in cash, preferably in 100 JPY coins.

  • Toilet fees: 200–300 JPY per use (Total approx. 1,200–1,500 JPY for the trip)
  • Bottled drinks: 400–500 JPY per bottle
  • Other expenses: Souvenirs, wooden staff branding stamps, etc.

Mt. Fuji is Japan's highest peak (3,776m). Please keep the following in mind:

  • Altitude Sickness Prevention: Assess your physical condition, get plenty of sleep before the climb, hike at a slow pace, take deep breaths, and stay hydrated.
  • Follow the Guide: Strictly adhere to your guide's pacing and instructions. Never wander away from the group.
  • Trail Etiquette: The trail can be crowded. Follow climbing rules and yield to others when necessary.

Essentials: Hiking backpack (with rain cover), rain gear (separate top and bottom), hiking boots, headlamp (mandatory for the sunrise hike), warm clothing (down jacket/beanie), water (1-2L), energy snacks, sun protection, personal medication, cash (coins), and trash bags.

We strongly advise wearing functional outdoor clothing (Layering System).
Mountain weather is unpredictable, and nighttime temperatures at the summit drop near 0°C (32°F). Do NOT wear cotton clothing (causes hypothermia when sweaty) or jeans. Wear a moisture-wicking base layer, a warming mid-layer (fleece/down), and a wind/waterproof outer shell (e.g., Gore-Tex). If you don't own gear, please utilize our rental options.

Age Limit: 6 to 75 years old.
(Travelers over 70 must complete a health questionnaire in advance to ensure they are fit for the climb).

Solo Travelers: Absolutely welcome! Our tours are very popular with solo climbers.

Tours will proceed in the rain. Cancellations are only made under severe weather conditions (e.g., typhoons) when local authorities close the Fuji Subaru Line toll road. If canceled prior to departure, you will be notified via email by 8:00 PM the night before and fully refunded. If canceled after arriving at the 5th Station, the remaining balance will be refunded after deducting incurred administrative fees.
