Tour Details
Chion-ji Temple
智恩寺
One of Japan's three most important temples dedicated to Monju Bosatsu (the Bodhisattva of wisdom), Chion-ji Temple has long been a sacred site. While the construction date of the main hall is unknown, its Tahoto Pagoda dates back to the Muromachi period and is a designated National Important Cultural Property. Step into this serene and mystical ground to feel the history and find a moment of spiritual peace.

Amanohashidate Sightseeing Cruise
Enjoy a peaceful journey on the calm inner sea, protected by the natural barrier of the Amanohashidate sandbar. This 12-minute cruise connects the Monju and Fuchu areas of the bay. From the boat, you can admire the beautiful pine-covered sandbar and participate in the popular activity of feeding the seabirds that fly alongside the vessel.

Cable Car & Chairlift
Your ticket is valid for both the cable car and the chairlift, giving you a choice of how to ascend to Kasamatsu Park. The cable car takes about 4 minutes, while the open-air chairlift takes about 6 minutes, both offering a relaxing ride up the mountain.

Kasamatsu Park
傘松公園
When visiting Amanohashidate, one of the "Three Views of Japan," a trip to the Kasamatsu Park observatory is a must! It is famous as the birthplace of "matanozoki"—the tradition of bending over and viewing the sandbar upside down through your legs. From this perspective, Amanohashidate is said to look like a bridge floating between Heaven and Earth.

Miyama Kayabuki no Sato
美山かやぶきの里
Famous for its unspoiled, traditional Japanese landscape, Miyama's "Kayabuki no Sato" (Village of Thatched Roofs) was designated a National Preservation District in 1993. This small village is home to numerous well-preserved "kayabuki" farmhouses, especially in the "Kita" hamlet, offering a glimpse into a timeless, authentic version of rural Japan.
